Problemas con Yahoo Mail

Desde hace dos semanas atrás he tenido problemas para enviar correos a las cuentas de Yahoo Mail, para cada mensaje enviando me regresaba este error:

Solo lograba que aceptara mi mensaje después de 2 o 3 intentos. De pronto a las personas con las que me he comunicado por largo tiempo, ahora mis correos no les llegan.

Investigando un poco en los foros de Mailsnare(mi proveedor de correo) y en Google me entero de que recientemente Yahoo realizo cambios en sus políticas del correo entrante:

Desde ahora la mayoría de mensajes entrantes en Yahoo va a ser marcados en greylist o posible spam, y por tanto rechazados. Yahoo tomo esta medida supuestamente para luchar contra los SPAMMERS ya que ellos no reintentarán enviar nuevamente los mensajes al recibir el error 451. Un servidor de correo no SPAM intentará de nuevo enviar el correo y si lo hace en poco tiempo podría ser marcado como legítimo por Yahoo.

Yo he tenido que intentar hasta 3 veces para poder enviar el mensaje, lo cual se vuelve muy molesto porque muchas veces el correo de error llega varias horas después cuando no me recuerdo de lo que escribí si no guarde una copia del mensaje. Con esta política Yahoo esta rechazando mucho del correo legítimo entrante y generando problemas de comunicación con muchos de sus usuarios, sin mencionar la sobre carga a los servidores de correo.

Al aparecer lo que Yahoo busca es que más servidores implementen su tecnología DomainKeys (en wikipedia), que ayudaría a la identificación del correo legítimo y el que no lo es. Según he leido en varios lugares, a pesar de tener DomainKeys instalado los mensajes siguen rebotando y la gente de Yahoo no responde a los administradores sino hasta después de muchos mensajes enviados, era de imaginarse, medio mundo debe estar con los pelos de punta.

En lo que Yahoo y los demás se ponen de acuerdo, Yo ya les envié un correo a mis contactos para que me den sus cuentas de gmail (o si quieren una invitación) y no tener que usar más los Servidores de Yahoo. Según recuerdo Yahoo ya lleva cierto tiempo promoviendo DomainKeys pero al parecer no muchos les hicieron caso (mi proveedor por ejemplo), pero haber tomado una política tan restrictiva puede ser muy arriesgado.

Veremos en que termina esta historia.

story
It was just another silent, peaceful day in Babylon, the center of all cultures, 5,500 years ago when all of a sudden,
clouds strangely started to gather over the Tower of Babel. Most people kept at their daily business,
not even realizing that the very existence of the tower had angered God. The first to realize what was happening were the animals.
They sensed something was wrong and begun panicking slightly before there were even signs of the chaos that was about to hit the tower.
After a short while the sky started to shape in an unnatural way, being very bright on one side and dark on the other.
This was in fact a revelation of God himself. At this point most people still didn’t know what was going on and while some stood shocked and terrified,
others were fascinated by the spectacular view. Some people still kept at their daily occupations ignoring all the signs.
Moments later, the ground which the tower was built upon started trembling, increasingly shaking the very foundations of the tower.
Thats the point when this image takes place – just about the last second the Tower of Babylon stood tall, when it just started cracking up
(the lower stories beared the highest pressure) and a few moments before it collapsed and changed the face of human history forever.
While watching helplessly as mankinds’ greatest creation began crumbling into nothing more than bricks and dust the confusion just got much greater
as God started to spread different languages among the cultures resulting in anger and forever separating mankind into many groups.

It started out with a request made by someone who had this on their mind: “a dead-on face shot, face tilted down, eyes looking up toward the camera with a mischievous fanged glare. Maybe blur the crap out of the background to make it look like you’re moving forwards. Make the viewer squirrrrrrm trying to decide if they want to get closer, or run for their life.”

So I started to take photos spontaneously and none of them were working. The “fanged glare” looked too awkward and I wasn’t happy with the results. Then I started to play around with the angles and perspective and thus the final product. I only took one version of this photo without having to redo the pose or take multiple pictures, so it was truly a spontaneous shot.

I know that one hand is a little too overexposed, but I couldn’t control the lighting. And for some reason when I changed the Curves a bit in Photoshop, my chest seemed to develop some grain, so I had to blur it out a bit. I’m not too happy with that area, but I couldn’t think of anything else to do. I also tried to brighten that spot but there was too much shadow so I left it alone. Suggestions would help.

La iluminacion de esta foto es bastante contradictoria en el concepto: la claridad la hace lucir como que si estubiera en un lugar angelical, cuando obviamente ella esta lejos de serlo (por su vestuario), pero es bastante adorable la posicion de su cuerpo.

Spammers vrs. Blue Security (II)

Al parecer el atake hacia Blue Frog ha terminado, al igual ke la cantidad de spamm ke recibo en mi cuenta principal. El CEO de Blue Security a publicado un mensaje:

A message from our CEO, Eran Reshef:

In the last few days, PharmaMaster has order a brutal, vicious attack on our community. We were blackmailed, threatened, spammed DDoS-ed and blackhole filtered. PharmaMaster wants to take away our right to be let alone. We will not let this happen.

On Friday, May 5th, the growing pressure of public opinion generated by our community seems to have at least temporally stopped DDoS attacks (according to a message we have received). For the last 12 hours, we have not seen any significant attacks. Thank you for support and hard work!

We must remember that freedom is not free, not in the real world and not in the cyber space. PharmaMaster will probably continue to do his worst to launch more attacks. Right now, some members are under spam attacks, our current service provider suffers from a massive joe-job, and our intelligence reports indicate a threat of distribution of faked frogs (download frogs only at the official Blue Security’s download location).

Our immediate priority is to deter spammers from continuing to attack individual members. The community can rest assured that our right to opt-out will soon be used to the fullest extent permitted under the CAN-SPAM Act. Report your spam, including threat letters, bounce backs and joe-jobs. Your frog will soon be very busy.

Tambien han sido publicados muchos mas detalles del atake y de lo ke paso realmente. Se sabe ke el DNS atakado fue Tucows, y los servidores de Typepad.

Luego de navegar un poko en los foros, descubri ke solo las cuentas principales de los usuarios fueron atakadas mayormente, komo en mi caso, mis cuentas de Hotmail, SourceForge y Gmail recibieron solo la cantidad normal de spam, menos de 10 correos basura en la semana, no a si mi cuenta de MailSnare ke recibio mas de 120 correos en total durante la semana.

Todavia no puedo reportar el Spamm… el dominio reports.bluefrog.com sige abajo

Voy a buscar mas detalles del atake a publicarlos aki.
